Scope Of Work
The University of Iowa solicits proposals for Miscellaneous Carpet, Ceramic Tile and Floor Tile Repairs and Replacement work from qualified Suppliers. The University is interested in awarding to multiple suppliers. Suppliers do not need to be able to provide all the services listed above, in order to respond to this bid. Supplier shall outline in detail the services they are capable of providing in Attribute "Supplier's Capabilities".
The Contractor shall furnish, at no additional cost, tools and equipment normally associated with the trade requested. No equipment will be provided or loaned by the University. Tools of the trade which must be owned by or available to the contractor as may be required in the course of his work, without charge to the University. In the event that large equipment or specialty tools are required for a certain job, it is expected that the Contractor will notify the project coordinator, and the University may, at its option, cause such equipment to be provided, loan such equipment, or authorize its rental.
Contractors owning non-required, specialized equipment, likely to be used in the course of a year, are encouraged to list these on the proposal sheet. Availability of tools and equipment may be a consideration in award. Failure of the contractor to provide sufficient tools of the trade, for work assigned, will be just cause for immediate cancellation of the contract.
